Course and Resource Library Support

    RedSeed now offers our clients the ability to maintain their own document library and upload xAPI courses to RedSeed. Below we are going to cover how to:

    • Upload a PDF
    • Edit Document/Course Categories
    • Edit a Resource
    • Upload an xAPI course
    • Edit a Course

    Resource Library

    Upload a PDF

    • Log into RedSeed
    • Navigate to ‘My Library’
    • Select ‘Add New Resource’
    • Either drag a PDF into the dialogue box or select ‘Browse’ to upload a PDF.
    • You will be redirected to the ‘Edit Resource’ page. Note: If you navigate away from this page your document will be saved as an ‘Archived’ document within ‘My Library’.
    • Below we will break down each section of the ‘Edit Resource’ page.
      • Upload a new version - Similarly to the previous upload page you can drag or upload a new version of the document you have previously uploaded here.
      • Image - If you have an image that you want to associate with this document then similarly to the document uploader you can drag and drop or browse for an image to upload.
      • Status - Whether the document is ‘Active’ or ‘Archived’
      • Locations - This section allows you to determine what locations within your business the document is available too. Simply tick and untick the locations.
      • The options at the bottom of the page are to either ‘Delete’ the document, ‘Preview’ the document or ‘Save’ the document.
      • Select ‘Save’. 
      • Categories - Select ‘Edit Categories’, then select 'Add New' to add a new category and to categories your document. Then select ‘Save’. 
      • Description - A description of the document you are uploading.
      • Name - The name of the document you are uploading.
      • Active version - If you upload a new version of a document you will need to select it from this drop-down.

    Edit Document or Course Categories

    • From the ‘My Library’ or ‘Courses’ page select ‘Add / Edit Categories’
    • From this page you can select to either:
      • Edit a Category by selecting ‘Edit’
      • Remove a Category by selecting ‘Remove’
      • Or add a new Category by selecting ‘Add New’. Note: To list a resource under a new category you must navigate to the ‘Edit Course/Resource’ page.

    Edit a Resource

    • To edit a Resource you must select the edit icon under the ‘Edit’ column for the relevant resource on the ‘My Library’ page.
    • You will be redirected to the ‘Edit Resource’ page where all resource details can be amended.


    Course Library 

    Upload an xAPI course

    • Make sure your xAPI course is packaged as a ZIP file.
    • Go to your ‘Courses’ section and select ‘Add New Course’
    • Either drag the ZIP file into the dialogue box or select ‘Browse’ to upload the ZIP file. Note: Make sure there is no spaces in the file name. 
    • You will be redirected to the ‘Edit Course page. Note: If you navigate away from this page your course will be saved as an ‘Archived’ document within ‘Courses’.
    • Below we will break down each section of the ‘Edit Course page.
    • Upload a new version - Similarly to the previous upload page, you can drag or upload a new version of the course you have previously uploaded here.
    • Active version - If you upload a new version of a course you will need to select it from this drop-down.
    • Name - The name of the course you are uploading.
    • Description - A description of the course you are uploading.
    • Categories - Select ‘Edit Categories’, then select 'Add New' to add a new category and to categories your document. Then select ‘Save’. 
    • Image - If you have an image that you want to associate with this course then similarly to the course uploader you can drag and drop or browse for an image to upload.
    • Status - Whether the document is ‘Active’ or ‘Archived’
